For 30 years, The Miracle Center has believed that creativity is a catalyst for opportunity. As Belmont Cragin’s first Creative Arts, Media, Music, and Sports District, we bring together youth, artists, entrepreneurs, and families to build confidence, develop careers, and strengthen community. Through multidisciplinary programming, strategic partnerships, and creative infrastructure, we connect people to the resources, relationships, and experiences that help them thrive.

Meet Our Team

Mary Santana
Founder and Executive Director

Mary Santana founded The Miracle Center in 1995 with the belief that creativity can transform lives and strengthen communities. Today, she leads TMC’s vision, expanding pathways to opportunity through arts, media, music, sports, and strategic community partnerships.

Mary Santana is the Founder and Executive Director of The Miracle Center, where she has spent the past 30 years building pathways to opportunity through the arts, media, music, and sports. What began as a grassroots arts program has grown into Chicago’s first Creative Arts, Media, Music, and Sports District in Belmont Cragin, creating opportunities for youth, artists, entrepreneurs, and families to build confidence, develop careers, and strengthen community. Under Mary’s leadership, TMC has grown into a 77,000-square-foot creative campus that combines multidisciplinary programming, workforce development, mentorship, and creative infrastructure to connect talent with real-world opportunity. Her commitment to community investment, collaboration, and innovation continues to guide TMC’s next chapter while ensuring creativity remains a catalyst for belonging, leadership, and lasting impact.

Jose Sanchez
Operations & Senior Program Director

With more than 35 years of experience, Jose Sanchez leads multidisciplinary programming that celebrates culture, strengthens community, and creates opportunities for people of all ages to learn, connect, and grow.

Jose Sanchez brings more than 35 years of experience in community program development and a lifelong passion for music to his role as Operations & Senior Program Director at The Miracle Center. Born into a musical family, he has spent his career using the arts to connect communities, from teaching music with the Chicago Park District to leading youth and family programming at the YMCA. Today, he oversees multidisciplinary programs that create pathways for creativity, cultural expression, and community engagement. At TMC, Jose develops programs and productions that celebrate Latinx culture and strengthen community through the arts, including “A Puerto Rican Story.” Whether mentoring youth, collaborating with teaching artists, or performing salsa, he is committed to creating spaces where people build confidence, deepen their connection to culture, and discover new opportunities to grow and thrive.

Lance Cabral
Project Director

Once a TMC participant, Lance Cabral now helps lead the organization’s next chapter by expanding creative pathways, strengthening community partnerships, and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Lance Cabral’s journey reflects the impact of opportunity and community investment. After joining The Miracle Center as a teenager, he discovered the mentorship, creativity, and leadership that would shape his future. Today, he serves as Project Director, helping guide TMC’s continued growth while expanding access to opportunity for others. Drawing from both lived experience and entrepreneurial leadership, Lance develops initiatives that connect young people and creatives to meaningful experiences, mentorship, and community. His work reflects TMC’s belief that investing in people today strengthens communities for generations to come.

Riley Pranian
Development Director

Riley Pranian leads fundraising, strategic partnerships, and institutional storytelling that expand opportunity and strengthen The Miracle Center’s impact across Chicago.

Riley Pranian serves as Development Director at The Miracle Center, leading fundraising, institutional partnerships, communications, and strategic initiatives that advance the organization’s mission. After beginning her nonprofit career as a TMC intern, Riley returned to help guide the organization’s next chapter through resource development and community engagement. Her background spans strategic communications, marketing, and nonprofit leadership, bringing together storytelling and philanthropy to build meaningful partnerships that invest in people and place. Riley works closely with public, private, and philanthropic partners to expand access to opportunity while strengthening TMC’s long-term impact throughout Chicago.

Nitza Rosario
Program Supervisor

A former TMC participant, Nitza Rosario now leads community-centered programming that creates opportunities for young people to grow, lead, and thrive.

Nitza Rosario’s story reflects the transformative impact of The Miracle Center. After participating in TMC programs as a young performer, she returned as Program Supervisor, helping create the same opportunities that shaped her own journey. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Nitza combines her lived experience with a deep commitment to youth development and community leadership. Through mentorship, programming, and relationship building, she helps create spaces where young people can build confidence, express themselves, and discover their potential.

Kaitlin Rodriguez-Lumley
Program Coordinator

Kaitlin Rodriguez-Lumley coordinates programs and productions that bring people together through creativity, collaboration, and meaningful community experiences.

Since joining The Miracle Center in 2017, Kaitlin Rodriguez-Lumley has helped transform creative ideas into impactful community experiences. As Program Coordinator, she oversees productions, programs, and events that connect participants, artists, and families through thoughtful planning and collaborative leadership. Kaitlin’s work reflects TMC’s commitment to creating welcoming spaces where creativity builds confidence, strengthens relationships, and inspires community engagement. Whether supporting productions or coordinating initiatives across the campus, she helps bring TMC’s mission to life every day.

Melissa Arroyo
Social Media Specialist

Melissa Arroyo leads digital storytelling that celebrates community voices, highlights impact, and strengthens connections between The Miracle Center and the people it serves.

Melissa Arroyo serves as Social Media Specialist at The Miracle Center, where she leads digital storytelling that amplifies the organization’s mission and community impact. Beginning her journey as a TMC Social Media Intern, Melissa has grown into a strategic communicator focused on sharing authentic stories that inspire connection and engagement. Her background in marketing, programming, and community engagement informs a thoughtful approach to communications that elevates participant voices, strengthens partnerships, and celebrates the people shaping TMC’s next chapter. Through purposeful storytelling, Melissa helps connect more people to opportunities across the creative campus.
